Service Description

Hi! Shelby here! Your journey into Traditional Chinese Medicine with me involves planning treatments around educated insights into your current state of wellness. This begins before you even arrive. My intake form allows me to gather information about your whole being. I appreciate this aspect of TCM, where every symptom is taken into account to create a full understanding of your current state of health and well-being. Upon taking your full health into consideration, I begin consultations by describing the TCM explanation for the origin of your unique set of symptoms. Often in this educational portion of the consultation, my clients find validation and a "connecting of the dots" that they haven't experienced elsewhere. Suddenly, everything begins to make sense. TCM explains your well-being by taking into account your body composition, the season of the year, the climate you live in, the stage of life you’re in, the pace of your life, early childhood experiences, how you process emotions, the condition of your home and workplace (I use Feng Shui), and so much more. (This education portion does not replace the support or treatment that you would receive from a licensed medical doctor or mental health counselor.) If the TCM explanation resonates for you, then I continue on and offer a route for treatment that may include acupressure, movement through somatic therapies, energy work, Tui-Na, reflexology, Embodiment Coaching, and Feng Shui. These are all services that I can offer cohesively for you, with each session building upon the previous one. I may also refer you to a Nurse Coach or Holistic Medical Doctor, especially for support in supplementation and diet, or an acupuncturist
