Yoga with Shelby
​Classes are available to 10 people, so that everyone has comfortable space to move around.​ Yoga Props are provided for every participant: 2 blocks, blanket, bolster. BRING YOUR OWN YOGA MAT.
My Story! Yoga has a special place in my heart. I opened my first business in 2018 called Shelbyoga LLC. Yoga was the first holistic service I became certified in, and it single-handedly "cured" the crippling anxiety I used to experience. Owning a yoga studio was the best experience life offered me then. The community of people I got to teach and the soul-filling recoveries and success stories I got to witness is something I'm excited to experience again! When I moved to Royersford in 2021, everyday I drove past what is now our current location, and I didn't know why the building seemed so beautiful and full of light. At the exact perfect moment in 2022, I saw the "for lease" sign go up, and it all started to make sense. I toured the whole building and could feel so viscerally the radical transformations and healing that would happen here. Since Day 1, I have been working so hard to grow into the back part of the building, often through tears. To finally BE in that space is more soul-filling than I can describe! I've had many sleepless nights out of excitement for the experiences that get to happen there, so I am incredibly grateful for each person who will join me there as we all continue our journey learning how to Just Be.​ Transformation is the best word to describe the current energy of the yoga studio! As you will see, it needs some TLC: the outdated carpet, spots on the wall that were patched up from previous occupants. This is what the front space looked like before I transformed it into the Bohemian-beige, hardwood beauty that it is today. For those who join me in our early days in the studio, you will be able to watch it transform into a beautiful space, and I'll even ask you to make design choices with me! Who can say that they've helped to design a local yoga studio? You will.
Gentle Flow Yoga Level 1
(You Pick the Price!)
Shelby offers a beginner-friendly gentle flow yoga class at Just Be Holistic Wellness Center. Her trauma-informed approach allows you to come as you are and be held in an emotionally supportive and accepting space.​
Every class includes an opening meditation using embodiment (body-based) techniques to support emotional growth. I set an intention for each class, connected to a theme about mind-body-spirit, which you'll see in the title for the class below. The cost for attendance is up to you! Shelby believes everyBODY can benefit from yoga. Rather than dealing with punch cards, memberships, or a tight budget, pay what meets your needs AND shows the value of this practice.
Gentle Flow Yoga Level 2
Level 2 is for yogis looking for a step above our beginner-level Gentle Flow. This is a strength-building sequence and opportunity for flexibility and balance practice. This is not the fast-pace that you would find in a power flow class (you can visit our friends at CoreFit for that!)
Yin and Meditate
30 minutes of Yin Yoga followed by 30 minutes of learning how to meditate. You don't need a calm mind to be ready for this class ;) Yin yoga is a tool for myofascial release (aka unwinding tension in our connective tissues). You can keep this stretch gentle or take it deeper!
Thursday Evening Holistic Workshops
